Lift the open sinus when implanting

Sinus lift, bone grafting is an operation that takes place before the implantation of the implant. It is necessary to carry out this technique to support implants implantation because of the cases of missing teeth for a long time, the jaw bone has been disqualified in size and quality to implant implants. Lifting of the sinus is done around two main techniques: open sinuses when implant grafts and implanted sinus implants.

Lifting of sinuses is technically quite complicated. When performing a maxillary sinus lift, your doctor will perform an incision to expose your bones and then remove part of your bones, in a circular form. The position corresponding to the cut bone is then lifted into the sinus cavity, acting as a trapdoor and the space below is filled with bone grafting material. Lifting of the sinus increases the width of the maxillary sinus to several mm in order to facilitate bone grafting before implant placement.
Operations are performed when the doctor performs an open-sinus transplant when implanted
To open the open sinuses, the doctor must first open the gingiva to reach the area of the jaw.
The doctor then creates a waveform on the jaw-like shape of the window in a circle or rectangle shape. The jaw area is raised and the doctor inserts the bone in the gap to fill.
Once the bone has been filled in the cavity, the window area is closed, the gum tissue will return to its original position. The process of lifting the sinuses ends and the patient must wait for the wound to heal, tissues and bones develop and eventually develop new dental implants.
The technique of open sinus surgery is applied by the doctor depending on the location of each patient. Not all patients can lift open sinuses and in other words not, this treatment can be applied to anyone. Raising the sinus is a very difficult technique, the cost will increase quite high. Therefore, to avoid additional costs, patients should grow teeth as soon as possible if the loss of teeth, because if left too long, the jaw and then go to the technique of sinus lift.
Note: the efficacy of the treatment can vary depending on each patient’s condition.
