In dental implants, whether the bone is standard or not is important as it determines the success of an implants implant. And at I-DENT dental center as well as other dentists around the world will evaluate the standard of the jaw bone through two main criteria: bone quality and quality.
♦ Number of bones
Currently in the world, the smallest length of an implant is designed to be 6 mm and the smallest diameter is 3 mm. Therefore, in cases where the patient has a bone length less than the index or, in other words, a short jaw bone length, it will not qualify for implantation. In recent years, with more developed dentistry, patients with a smaller index of the jawbone were not significantly more likely to have a bone marrow transplant than those who had implanted the implant. But for patients whose length is smaller than the implant ratio, the doctor will advise the patient to choose a different implant. Because of trying to implant prosthetics will pose a danger to the patient's health and more serious than life.
♦ Bone quality
The index used to measure the rigidity of the mass is HU (Hounsfield). In which the HU of the water is 0 HU, the HU of the air is -1000 HU of the teeth day is 1000HU. And also according to the HU index, the jaw bone of the jaw bone is divided into four different levels: D1, D2, D3, D4.
D1> 1250 HU very thick bone
D2 850 HU - 1250 HU good bone
D3 350 HU - 850 HU good bone

And according to the American Dental Association's world-leading dentists, the best HU for implants between D2 and D3 levels is between 350 and 1250. Between levels D1 and D1, D4 can still implant but the D4 level indicator shows that the bone of the patient is dilated so the doctor who implanted the implants must be experienced and skilled. Index D1 shows that the bones are very thick, less blood vessels nourish the healing time longer than usual.
It is a criterion for evaluating appropriate bone standards for implant placement.
